Catskill Mts. Trout Unlimited Meeting Wednesday January 22, 2014 Gander Mountain Lodge, Kingston

Meeting- Our regular meeting will begin at 7 PM. Our speaker had to cancel out so we are without anyone at this time. BUT, I urge you to attend as we do have business of the chapter to discuss. Officer positions need filling; we need to enlist several folks for Board positions so the chapter can plan the future. Certainly important on the list is discussion of the 50th banquet restaurant to hold our event. A couple places have been reviewed and of course there is Stonehedge that we have participated at in the past few years.
I may have a Mary Dette DVD to bring along. If you haven’t seen this incredible lady tye as she was taught by her parents, Walt and Winnie, it is something worth while to see.

Catskill Mts. Trout Unlimited Meeting Wednesday May 15, 2013 6:45PM Gander Mountain Lodge, Kingston

Meeting- The Regular Meeting will begin at 6:45 PM. We will begin our meeting early so we can have enough time for our guest speaker and presentation. Eduardo Barrueto from Coyhaique, Chilean Patagonia has a fly fishing operation in Coyhaique area of Chile, and this year he is supporting Trout Unlimited by donating trips for the Annual Auctions in Washington DC, San Francisco, and New York. He has been talking and working with Sarah Davis, the National Events Manager of TU.

He has also been working before with Native Fish Society, Water Watch Oregon and Wild Fish Conservancy from Washington. In Chile he works actively and supports Patagonia Sin Represas, trying to stop the Dam´s menace in Patagonia.

He is looking forward to speaking and presenting a program to a group of the Catskill Mountains Chapter of TU about Patagonia, and the wonderful Dry Fly fishing in Coyhaique area. As previously mentioned, I have looked for engaging presentations to enlighten and bring different presentations of interest. I hope you can find the time for one more meeting this year before we break for summer. Let’s make sure we have a good turn out with an interest to see his presentation. He is the owner of Magic Waters Patagonia and you can see more at either: www.magicwaterspatagonia.com or www.chilepatagoniaflyfishing.com .
