May Chapter Meeting, 6:00PM Wednesday May 16th, Gander Mt. Lodge Kingston NY

The Pre-meeting, beginning at 6 PM this time, will have our guest tying and discussing several Salmon and Steelhead flies. Our General Meeting will begin at 7:00 pm. Following the meeting, we will have our Guest Speaker, George Douglas from Kype Magazine and Pulaski. George’s presentation to follow our brief meeting and is approximately 1 hour long. I am asking seriously for all of you to make every effort to attend this last meeting for the summer and make our guest feel welcome. Bring a friend or two and let’s fill the room. A brief Bio follows. I am certainly receiving nice reports of fish catches by size and number even with this recent unpredictable weather. If you haven’t been up to the Esopus Creek, you might want to take a trip up and wet a line as the current water conditions are clearer then they have been in some time. Many fishing spots are reconfigured from the floods but the fish are adapting to the changes. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND THIS MEETING. First time in a long time we have spent some money to bring a quality program.

Brief Bio George Douglas:

George began his fishing career in 1991 guiding on the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY, where he also started his first magazine, “Salmon River Success” and authored, “The Complete Guide to the Salmon River.” Since then, he has authored six more books, and produced seven fishing DVD’s. Currently, George is guiding for steelhead in the Steelhead Alley region of Ohio and NY. Recently he has been inducted into the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, as one of forty-eight Legendary Communicators in the sport.
