Ted Hoover to Speak on Fishing for Silver Salmon on  Alaska’s Yentna River

In the summer of 2023, Ted Hoover embarked on a remarkable fly fishing journey to River Song Lodge, a secluded haven along Alaska’s Yentna River.

As an avid fly angler, Ted offered to share his experience, photos and stories of a “first“ of a lifetime trip into the wilderness of central Alaska in search of salmon. Timed to coincide with the late-summer silver salmon run, the trip offered encounters with coho, pink and chum salmon surging upstream, an unexpected experience with tenacious pike, float planes, serene landscapes, and a steady menu of Alaska wildlife.
