Catskill Mts. Trout Unlimited Meeting Wednesday January 22, 2014 Gander Mountain Lodge, Kingston

Meeting- Our regular meeting will begin at 7 PM. Our speaker had to cancel out so we are without anyone at this time. BUT, I urge you to attend as we do have business of the chapter to discuss. Officer positions need filling; we need to enlist several folks for Board positions so the chapter can plan the future. Certainly important on the list is discussion of the 50th banquet restaurant to hold our event. A couple places have been reviewed and of course there is Stonehedge that we have participated at in the past few years.
I may have a Mary Dette DVD to bring along. If you haven’t seen this incredible lady tye as she was taught by her parents, Walt and Winnie, it is something worth while to see.

Catskill Mts. Trout Unlimited Meeting Wednesday October 16, 2013 Gander Mountain Archery Lane, Kingston, NY

Pre Meeting– Tying demonstration by chapter member Joe Apuzzi. Joe is an excellent tyer and member of the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild following Catskill traditions. He will demonstrate a few Bead Head Bloody Mary nymphs. These are considered a searching pattern nymph and very successful when others fail and at this time of year. Come out at 6:15 PM to observe and ask questions for Joe.

Meeting- The Regular Meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. We will have a brief business meeting early so we can have enough time for our guest speaker Andrew Meyer. He works on aquatic connectivity in the tributaries to the Hudson River, watershed outreach, and open space projects relating to the many communities of the Hudson River Estuary. Andrew grew up in Orange County and has a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado. His powerpoint presentation will focus on two projects they have going to identify important dams and culverts, preventing migration for spawning, and try and get them out of our streams. Please attend to hear this and we’ll learn how we may be of help in our fishing experiences to identify other problem culverts.
