In our region, the <a href=\"https:\/\/cmtu.us12.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=d1310411f723a387aa3669971&amp;id=3f5b3b28fc&amp;e=cdbb610f4a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/cmtu.us12.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3Dd1310411f723a387aa3669971%26id%3D3f5b3b28fc%26e%3Dcdbb610f4a&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1731188867359000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1XCHD3yHGCFIQyQZ3tWWVr\">Hudson River Estuary Program<\/a> is at the forefront of helping remove barriers to fish passage.<\/p>\n<p>At this month\u2019s meeting, Jim Katz is going to speak to use about the work the Hudson River Estuary Program is doing to helpt stitch our watersheds back together again so that trout can migrate throughout the system.<\/p>\n<p>Katz is the Road Stream Crossing Implementation Specialist with DEC Region 3 and the Hudson River Estuary Program. He works on culvert\/bridge replacement projects and dam removals, helping to connect municipalities with funding, technical assistance, and outreach materials. His focus is on improving stream connectivity for aquatic organism passage and reducing flooding.
