Greetings Women of TU!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We saw our first stonefly of the season a couple of\ndays ago. With the spring thaw approaching and trout season just around the\ncorner, we wanted to take a moment to invite you to an upcoming event with the\nCMTU Women\u2019s Initiative (WI). The goal of the TU Women\u2019s Initiative is to\nensure that women feel welcome at chapter meetings and included in projects and\nriver outings. The CMTU WI is also working to actively develop women\u2019s events\nat the chapter level and initiate new programs to provide meaningful engagement\nopportunities for women. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Join us on Saturday April 20th <\/sup>for our 2019 planning meeting and contribute to the Women\u2019s Initiative of Catskill Mountains Trout Unlimited. Whether you are interested in fishing or coldwater fisheries conservation, beginner or expert, all women are welcome to attend. We will meet at Sweet Sue\u2019s in Phoenicia for brunch at 10:30am, then from 12:00pm-2:00pm we will continue on to the Phoenicia Library across the street to generate and discuss ideas to grow the Women\u2019s Initiative for our chapter. We will end the event by hitting the stream for some fishing if conditions allow.<\/em> Rose, a chapter member, had this to say about the CMTU WI, \u201cSending you all a thank you for your support and guidance while fishing on Saturday evening. It was very nice to meet each of you personally and spend time with women anglers. I think you are all on the right track in this initiative to provide women an opportunity to meet, greet and learn from each other\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please send\nRSVPs via email to Jayne Henson at jaynehenson1986@gmail.com\nor call Anne Bloomfield at 518-894-6344 so that we can get a rough head count\nof how many to expect.
