November 2nd, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The Catskill Mountains Chapter of Trout Unlimited invites you to our<strong> 55th Annual Conservation Banquet, 6:00 PM, Saturday, November 2nd, at the Stonehedge Restaurant on Route 9w in West Park, NY.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Our annual banquest is our largest chapter fundraiser for the year. Proceeds from the banquet help fund variety of chapter projects and activities throughout the year.&nbsp; Here are some of the things we\u2019ve done in recent years:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Removed trash and litter from area streams<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Planted saplings to promote stream bank stability<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Trout-in-the-Classroom program in local schools,<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Monitored the Esopus Creek above the Ashokan Reservoir<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Conducted temperature surveys of area streams<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Protected the Peekamoose Blue Hole on Roundout Creek<br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Ran casting demos at local schools and spoke with students about the importance of trout to a healthy ecosystem<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>And more!<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The evening begins with a cash bar cocktail hour at 6:00 PM and the opportunity to view the raffle buckets and silent auction items. Bucket raffle tickets will be 25 for $20.00 or $1.00 each. Dinner will begin being served at 7:15 PM. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>After a brief presentation, we will have drawings for the bucket raffles, announce the winners of our silent auction, and draw winning conservation raffle tickets.<\/em><em>. &nbsp;This year&#8217;s grand prize raffle is an Orvis rod and reel:&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Grand Prize<\/strong>: Orvis Helios 3F 9ft 5 wt &amp; Orvis Mirage USA II Reel<\/p>\n<p><strong>$10 per Ticket<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Only 200 Tickets to be sold!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Winner need not be present to win<\/p>\n<p><em>&nbsp;Dinner is $40.00 per person. Please consider an additional donation of $5 per dinner for our conservation fund. The dinner choices are:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Appetizer: Tortellini Alfredo with Green Salad with Vinaigrette dressing<\/p>\n<p>Entree choices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Breast of Chicken Francaise<\/li>\n<li>Baked Filet of Salmon with Herb Crust<\/li>\n<li>Roast Prime Rib of Beef, Au Jus<\/li>\n<li>Vegetarian Entr\u00e9e<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All meals will be served with Baked Stuffed Potatoes, and Rolls and Butter.<\/p>\n<p>The evening\u2019s dessert will be layer cake with fruit filling, served with coffee or tea.<\/p>\n<p>You can purchase banquet tickets online through our Eventbrite site:&nbsp; <span id=\"organizer_url\"><a class=\"js-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/cmtu-banquet2019.eventbrite.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-label=\"url\" data-action=\"OrganizerURLClick\">https:\/\/cmtu-banquet2019.eventbrite.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong> Reservations paid in advance will earn five free raffle tickets each at the banquet.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em><em> Early reservations and confirmations in any form help the chef plan foods.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The banquet is always a great time.
