This month’s speakers will be Leslie Zucker from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County, and Adam Doan, of Ulster County Soil and Water, both representing the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program.
Leslie and Adam will be speaking on projects that the AWSMP is pursuing in the Ashokan Watershed and on current conditions in the Esopus Creek in general. This has been a traumatic year for our beloved Esopus Creek. As many of you know, DEC recently closed fishing on the Esopus below the portal due to low-water conditions. The high temperatures and low flows we’ve had this year raise lots of questions about how DEP has been managing the system. Leslie and Adam both have a great deal of knowledge and expertise on the watershed, so please come out to hear the latest on Esopus Creek and to ask those questions.
We also will have a guest fly tyer this month Evan Kitner starting at 6:15 PM.
November’s ’s meeting will be held at the Community Room Hudson Valley Mall, Kingston NY (Located near the internal entrance of JCPenny) map
