Catskill Mts. Chapter of TU Meeting Wednesday February 18, 2015 Courtyard by Marriott Kingston, NY

Chapter Meeting– General meeting will begin at 6:45 PM. After a general meeting we will have a presentation on the Schoharie Creek fishery in Green County by Judd Weisberg former member of the chapter. Judd resides on the banks of the Schoharie in Lexington, NY. As a New York State Licensed Fly Fishing Guide and Instructor Judd shares his life-long passion for fly-fishing. He instructs stream-side and from boats on the waters of the Catskills, bringing people closer to the exquisite secret world of the wild trout. Judd is one of the most familiar persons on the fishery made famous by Art Flick and where he created his famous book “A Streamside Guide.” Judd creates flies, rods, and nets for each situation where he fishes locally and world-wide. As a member of the International Game Fish Association, The American Museum of Fly Fishing, The Catskill Fly Fishing Museum, The Delaware River Foundation, Trout Unlimited, and The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Judd joins forces with all those who believe in conserving, protecting and enhancing habitat for wild creatures and inhabitants. Many of us head east to CT or MA streams during the season or over to the Beaverkill, Willoweemoc as well as the expanses of the Delaware River. Why not look at this early season fishery to our northwest in Green County? Join us for an informing program and welcome our past chapter member.

Weather- We all have seen the weather this past month and it makes a real impact on things. First, I will not risk anyone’s health or safety with impending inclimate weather. So, we are set for a meeting next Wednesday. But, if it is not suitable for safe travels, I would rather error on the side of safety. If cancelled, you can call or email me at: Ronsgonefishing@aol.com or (845)339-5938. I will also notify the Marriott who you can also contact at: (845)382-2300 for information.
